Nogi Jiu Jitsu strips away the traditional gi, leaving practitioners to grapple in a world where every move is fluid and fast. Nogi players rely on precision in technique as well as athleticism to dominate their opponents.

For nogi jiu jitsu, wear a rash guard/athletic shirt, tights or shorts (without pockets/clasps/zippers). Gi pants are also acceptable.

As a separate section of the class, Foundations focuses on:

·       Learning the concepts and movements of BJJ

·       Developing skills through structured positional training with resistance

The curriculum is tailored for beginners and provides the tools needed to confidently transition into the full class. While these are nogi sessions, they cover universal material that applies to both gi and nogi training.

Kickboxing classes focus on pad- and partner-work with an emphasis on Muay Thai techniques. Students develop both short-range and long-range skills, including a variety of strikes and kicks. Classes also feature conditioning and mobility training, providing a well-rounded workout that serves as an excellent complement to BJJ.

Students are required to bring their own boxing gloves; no other equipment or gear is needed. Students may borrow a complimentary pair of gloves from RGES for their first lesson only; RGES does not offer a glove-rental program.

Nogi Jiu Jitsu strips away the traditional gi, leaving practitioners to grapple in a world where every move is fluid and fast. Nogi players rely on precision in technique as well as athleticism to dominate their opponents.

For nogi jiu jitsu, wear a rash guard/athletic shirt, tights or shorts (without pockets/clasps/zippers). Gi pants are also acceptable.

*All new/prospective members with less than 6 months' BJJ experience must schedule a PRIVATE INTRO BJJ LESSON by completing this form

Focused on fundamental techniques, the class also helps kids understand body movements and develop proprioception, laying a strong foundation for both physical and personal growth.

Foundations sessions cycles through a 7-week curriculum designed for newer students.

As a separate section of the class, Foundations sessions focus on:

·       Building safe, sustainable training habits

·       Learning the concepts and movements of BJJ

·       Developing skills through structured positional training with resistance

The curriculum is tailored for beginners and provides the tools needed to confidently transition into the full class. While these are nogi sessions, they cover universal material that applies to both gi and nogi training.
